Alumnae Experience

A Letter from our Vice President of Alumni Relations:

To whom it may concern,

Sigma Kappa offers so many memories, connections, and bonds that are irreplaceable. Sigma Kappa is a rewarding lifetime commitment. You are not just a part of Sigma Kappa during your college years, you are a sister of Sigma Kappa for life. When initiated into Sigma Kappa, we make a commitment to our chapter and to ourselves. We promise to uphold Sigma Kappa’s values, beliefs, and traditions. Our values of personal growth, friendship, service and loyalty are bound by the promise of Sigma Kappa. We strive to always uphold these values to become the best versions of ourselves. As our college years come to an end, sisters are transitioned into alumnae through our ritual event, Order of the Triangle. Order of the Triangle is a sacred, yet traditional event that honors our seniors and their accomplishments throughout their college career. As each of our sisters becomes an alumna, they will always be considered a sister of Sigma Kappa. Alumnae are offered many opportunities to stay involved and connected. As alumnae, sisters are invited to attend alumnae brunches and philanthropy events. Additionally, alumnae can participate in our mentorship program, or even work as an advisor for a chapter or for our national organization. On the other hand, there is an option to join a local alumnae chapter that is closest to home. With all of Sigma Kappa’s chapter and philanthropy events, we strive to stay well connected with our sisters across the nation.

As Vice President of Alumnae Relations, I hope to maintain a strong relationship between sisters and alumnae. A major goal of mine is to make alumnae feel that they can still be involved in all events put on by the Delta Rho chapter. I want to encourage our alumnae to be as active as possible and to be role models to our collegiate sisters. Sigma Kappa offers the bond of sisterhood for life. An excellent way to remain in touch with your sisters is to stay connected. In my few years in Sigma Kappa, I have had the opportunity to meet so many extraordinary women. Being a proud sister of Sigma Kappa, I am fortunate enough to share opportunities with our alumnae. I highly encourage all of our sisters to stay involved with our activities and our sisters because once again- we are sisters for life.

Best Regards,

Allison Tucker
