A Letter from our Vice President of Alumni Relations:
To Whom it May Concern,
Sigma Kappa offers a special bond of sisterhood. Being in a sorority is more than just several years of our lives – it’s for life. When we are initiated, we make a commitment not only to our chapter but to ourselves to uphold Sigma Kappa’s values, beliefs, and traditions. Upon the end of our undergraduate years, sisters are transitioned into an alumni through our ritual event, Order of the Triangle. Alumnae are offered many opportunities to stay connected to Sigma Kappa. Post-graduation, sisters can attend alumnae brunches, philanthropy events, join our mentorship program, or even work as an advisor for a chapter or for our national organization. Sisters even have the option of joining their local alumnae chapter. Sigma Kappa strives to maintain strong relationships with all of our sisters.
My goal as the Vice President of Alumnae Relations is to make alumnae feel as much of a part of the Delta Rho chapter as I do. I want to encourage our alumnae to be as active as possible and to be role models to our collegiate sisters. Being an alumna is what you make it, similarly to the undergraduate experience. The idea that I share a special bond with so many women, even women I have never met, is incredibly astonishing to me. I hope to inspire as many sisters as possible to be active Sigma Kappa’s for life and to use all of its opportunities to be the best women they can be.
